Dickey wrote all the ABB songs I love (Southbound, Ramblin' Man, Elizabeth Reed, Blue Sky), but this one's my favorite, and quite fitting today. We'll reach the end all we'll all be singin' and we'll be friends Back where it all begins Rest well, mon brer.

Never knew that was Warren playing that solo. Holy Hell!! It's like he's in a trance, just going at it without even thinking about what he's doing. I wouldn't want to have to choose between him and Derek Trucks as to who's my favorite slide guitarist. Both amazing in their own way.

Absolutely a song which portrayed what the Allmans were all about. Great lyrics, Gregg and Warren harmonies with Dickey, and the solos off the hook.

I know Greg and Dickie had their problems, but I don't think they would have been the Allman Brothers as successful without him. Dickie was a damn genius on the guitar, and singing! Love this!

God damn…half the comments here are about who is better or who “killed” this song more. Jesus….just feel the music. Comparing Dickey and Warren is silly. But you do you…and while you do you, you’re missing the whole point of this band.

Do yo thang Dickie!! Don't stop now!! Don't stop ever!!! One of the true Southern American treasures that we still have left in music. He may outlive me but there's just not many of them like Mr. Betts left!! No any as a matter of fact!! Their music has seen me through some really dark times but it's also there in the great times. Nothing like cranking up some Allmans around 9am on Saturdays and getting a good booger sugar and beer buzz going. Haven't touched the sauce in 18 years but this music does bring me back to some great times in my youth!

I’ve been a Dicky Betts fan from the Fillmore East days, just think how crazy good this band would’ve been if Duane and Berry was still around? This is probably the best lineup that really stands out after the turmoil and regrouping. I however did very much appreciate Dan Toler as he was no slob on guitar!

I wonder if in some kinda universe Warren was the Original guitarist and this was one of their first songs people would be talking about him in the same way, Warren kills this track despite not having his guitar set up like Dicky Warren comes off technically better but Dicky shows more feeling
